Open source clinical calculators and scores

Free tools with zero dependencies and no data transfer, for any physician, clinic or agency to use on their own website. Each one reproduces a published formula or score, with sources, reference cases and tests, and is published in the ELUCENIA GitHub organization under the Apache-2.0 license. How to use them on your site

Each tool is a repository with four files: the calculation in JavaScript, an example HTML page, the sheet with fields, sources and limits, and the reference cases with tests. Copy the files into your site, or install from npm once the package is published. Nothing is sent to any server: the calculation runs in the user’s browser.

The Apache-2.0 license allows commercial use, copying and modification, as long as the NOTICE file and the copyright notice are kept.

What is verified and what is not

Every tool passed its own package tests, property tests (empty inputs, wrong types, out-of-range values, invalid options) and a security check: no network, no storage, no external code. The formula of the large majority was reimplemented from the literature and compared against thousands of random inputs; the result is in the "Situação" section of each README.

No tool has independent clinical validation: that review, by physicians of each specialty, is in progress and follows the guide published in the organization. Until then, each tool is a technical reproduction of a published formula and does not replace a physician’s judgement.

Questions people ask

Are the tools free?

Yes. They are Apache-2.0 licensed: any physician, clinic, hospital or agency can use, copy, modify and embed them in their own site or system, commercially or not, keeping the NOTICE file and the copyright notice.

Do they send patient data anywhere?

No. The calculation runs in the user’s browser or Node.js, with no network calls, no telemetry and no storage. No tool stores or identifies patients.

Can I use the result to make a clinical decision?

Not on its own. Each tool is a technical reproduction of a published formula or score, with verified arithmetic but no independent clinical validation. The decision remains the physician’s, with the patient in front of them.

Who builds and maintains the tools?

Felipe Guedes, Software Engineer and Systems Architect, for ELUCENIA, a global medical and scientific network to accelerate discovery. Authorship is recorded in every repository.
